I love Easter. The older I get, the more I appreciate the significance of the day. I am so thankful that my Jesus loves me enough to choose to die for me and that the grave could not hold Him!
And I love sharing special occasions with my kids. They make everything in life so much more fun! Here they are having a practice egghunt on Saturday. Carter wanted to keep hiding them and hunting them again, but Evyn cried when I took the eggs out of her basket.
On your mark, get set, GO!
Carter looks so much older to me lately. Maybe that is part of the reason that I savor everything about him that still feels like a little boy. Look at how ridiculously happy he is to have a wicker Easter basket and eggs to hunt.
And this little girl is pure sunshine and happiness. Unless you take her eggs away from her.
Carter took a break from hunting eggs to climb a tree. Evyn helped herself to the contents of his basket. Classic move, sister!
All dressed up and ready for Sunday morning.
I am not sure if she had too much sugar or was just exceptionally giggly tonight, but she was cracking up at me while I pretended not to be able to open an Easter egg. Look at that beautiful smile!
