Mike and I used to spend hours daydreaming about one day when we would live in what we lovingly called our "forever house." We would make lists of all of the things that were important to us in a house and plan what Christmas would be like there and how we would decorate- you get the idea! We moved into our "forever house" in May after God essentially dropped it in our laps. We were so used to our tiny duplex that we don't know what to do with extra closet space! Our favorite thing about the house is the view out of the front windows. We love to watch the sun rise over "our" lake, watch the ducks swim, and we spend hours holding hands on the front porch after Carter goes to bed! Essentially, we just feel overwhelmingly blessed to live here. God has truly been faithful to give us the desires of our heart and then some!
Here is a look at the front of the house.

And here is "our lake"- this is what we see when we look out the front windows.

This is the front room. We are eventually going to lay hard wood floors in here. The red paint took us FOREVER, and the rugs were our big splurge when we moved in!
You step down from the red front room into the main living room. Pictured here are my fabulous husband, my sweet son, and his big buddy (Mai).
This is the kitchen. It originally had a lovely leopard print wallpaper. When we took it down, we found that it was put up over two additional layers of wallpaper. We love the view from the kitchen and we LOVE having THREE ovens. Seriously, who needs three ovens? We can't wait for Christmas so we can use them all simultaneously!

This is the sunroom that we use as a playroom. It is great to have a spot to keep all of your plastic tractors and whatnot!
This is the backyard. Excuse the large blue plastic pool hanging over the chairs. This is the fort that Mike built for Carter as a birthdy present this summer! Cool, huh?

This is the master bedroom. We are in the process of redoing the bathroom, which explains some of the mess in here!

This is Carter's room, and his new big boy bunkbeds! He loves his "big bed." We cannot get over what a little boy he is now.

This is the guest room. The windows look out over the back yard.
This is the upstairs bathroom. We love that the toilet and shower is separate from the vanity area and I especially love the fact that this room has terrific AC!

The paint job in this room is "loud" at best! We are convinced that this is the reason that the house did not sell for a year! We will eventually use this room as a nursery for our next baby, but we don't have the mojo to paint this room until we know if we will have a son or a daughter (and no, this is not an announcement), so we are living with the paint job for now. It is great to have space to store all of the baby stuff that Carter has outgrown!

This is looking down the upstairs hallway from the "nursery" to the guest room. Note the two EXTRA WALK IN CLOSETS on the right! Two extra closets! I love it!!!

Thanks for looking! You are welcome to come see it in person any time.
