Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

A Random Collection of Pictures from our Week!

Since I am still relatively new to the whole blog world, I think that I will save my "deep thought" posts for later, and stick to posting pictures for now! We had a fun week- I had to start back to work on Thursday but am determined that just because summer is over doesn't mean that we have to stop having fun! So, having said that, here is a very random glimpse into the normal events in the Lewis house!
Carter is recently obsessed with trains. We had a hand me down train set that he LOVES to play with and he insists on wearing his "train hat" while he is hard at work conducting!

He loves to eat fruit, and is begging for a piece of cantaloupe in this picture. Don't worry, we didn't make him roll over or do any other tricks before we fed him!

We went to a great place with some friends called "Jump N Jungle" where they had a ton of those big inflatable jumping things. Carter went nuts. I love these pictures because you can see how proud he was when he climbed on top of the huge rubber snail and then you can see what happens from there. . .

This is Carter and Mike playing peek-a-b00 (Carter calls it hiyaboo) in our kitchen cabinets and under the kitchen table!

I think at some point in time, every parent has that startling realization that your kid is watching EVERYTHING that you do perhaps a bit too closely. Right now, it makes us laugh! Lets hope that it stays that way. Here is Carter literally walking in daddy's shoes, and then in a moment that makes every man proud, wearing his mother's "swim-dress"- he will hate me for this one day!

Carter has a stuffed Curious George that goes pretty much everywhere with us. It kills me to watch him put him down on the ground and say "walk George" as he lovingly drags him along. Everything that Carter does, George does. So, last week, Carter goes and gets the camera and gives it to me and holds George up and says "cheese George" with increasing intensity until his dense mother FINALLY took a picture of the stuffed monkey.
It wouldn't be right to not post a few "fun in the sun" pictures since it is the middle of August!

I took these this morning before church, and they just made me smile!

So, there you have it! A look into a "normal" week in the Lewis house! Thanks for looking.
