This afternoon, Carter was in the mood for a little baseball so we took his gear and headed out to the front yard. He insists on wearing his hat backwards when he plays baseball, and is intently practicing his "catcher's stance."
Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

A break from the heat.
August in Texas has been HOT. Carter loves playing outside but it has been so miserable that we have spent most of our time indoors lately. Today was a refreshing break from the heat. We had a fabulous thunderstorm last night and woke up with no electricity and a three year old in our bed. We got dressed by candle light and went for coffee and donuts, and that was a fun start to our day together.

After a few good T-ball swings, he told me that he needed a water break. And then seeing that I had the camera out, he came to join me for a "cheese."

Hasn't the weather been wonderful? (Well, minus the affect it's had on supplying electricity to your house, that is. Sorry about that! But a three year-old to cuddle with is good, yes?)
Sweet pictures!
how much fun! by the way I love the name Evyn! That is just precious! We only have a little bit longer!
August in Texas is Hot??!! Goodness Girl, what did you expect???
:-)
loving the cooler weather....not loving the rainy days that are spent with 2 wild boys running laps around the living room cuz they didn't get their 2 hour quota of daily outdoor activity.
Carter, can I get some kisses next week too? Cute pictures, K! You look beautiful pregnant, by the way!
Adorable ! Do you think you have a major leaguer on your hands?
The lake looks full, that was quite a rain.
Love to all.
Aren't Saturdays the best! Your son is too sweet. I love the catcher position. Heath would say he has great form and a bright future ahead! You are such a joy in my life, thanks for being my friend!
so sweet!
he looks so much like his daddy in that first pic.
I hope you are feeling well with baby Evyn...you look fab!
