Every now and then I have a post that is so random and disjointed that I have a difficult time finding a title for it. It seems like lots of interesting things might happen within the span of a week, but none of them are related at all. This is that post. You have been warned.
Lets start with the dead mouse in my wall. Mike put out poison a few weeks ago and it would seem that something ate some poison and promptly crawled into the wall in our guest bathroom where it died. So many things disturb me about this scenario. How did a mouse get in the wall? Is it really a mouse or something worse? Is this going to be an ongoing problem? How concerned should I be if Mike busted through the wall and we can't find a dead body but we still smell something terrible? What will I do when I have teenage girls at my house for disciple now and have a stinky and wall-less bathroom this weekend? A plumber is coming in the morning to rule out a sewer problem. Cross your fingers that we find the origin of the stench.
Carter made a set of jumbo ears last week in Sunday School. He loves them. They talked about listening to God, and this was their craft. That same day, we saw a mouse in the house (a recurring theme, unfortunately) while Mike was at work. We were both pretty freaked out, so he put his large ears on so the mouse would think that he was an elephant and leave him alone. Pretty smart if you ask me.
Evyn is just getting sweeter and sweeter. She is big time into giving kisses right now. She opens her mouth in a perfect little circle and gives you a big wet kiss right on the lips then laughs and laughs. It melts my heart every time. She can also say "cack cack" for duck, mama, dada, ni-ni (night night) and is starting to do some basic sign language. She is cutting her third tooth and still taking a few steps every now and then. She is all girl and we are all pretty smitten with her.
I guess that is all of the big news for this week! Sorry for the random nature of this post, but it was all too good to leave out!

It is a little concerning just how many mice you've had in your house. We have rats here outside but so far they've stayed away. Good luck with the plumber and the strange smell.
It's amazing how much Carter and Evyn have changed just in the last few months. Sweet kids. Happy Monday!
Saaa-weeet ride!! Yay for you! Yay for free advertising... CARS AND TRUCKS OUTWEST IN SNYDER!! :)
Cute pic of you and Evyn in bows!
Cool car Kristen!! Unfortunately it gives me-I want a new car too- syndrome. Way to go Brooke and Dewayne!! The kids are adorable as always. I must hear Evyn saying words!!!! That is precious.
Loving the car! Would love to have a Yukon. Alas, I just spent $348.77 on new brakes for my car today....don't think we'll be getting rid of it anytime soon! Love Carter in the washer, that's cute!
I have to agree with Brigitte...the mice population is rather concerning. : ) I'm a fan of your 'disjointed' points...it makes me feel like I'm there doing life with you. :)
The pics of those yummy kids are super cute! And I love your new ride! It's quite the cool mama-mobile.
Love you guys!
